THE ULTIMATE PADDLE DAY/HAVE A GO DAY – Riverton

The discipline locations will be selected based on weather forecast and surf conditions.

We will pick the best-of-the-best locations from across the Southland Region in the South Island of New Zealand.

If it is cranking on the East Coast or West Coast of Southland – we will travel. This is what makes this event so exciting and unique. We travel to the waves and pick a discipline that suits the conditions.

Event officials will determine locations for each discipline on any given day, with a team of meteorologists and local experts tracking storm and weather patterns. To reach each location, athletes and event crew will adopt a guerrilla-like approach, moving with high intensity and flexibility. Nowhere is out of bounds; the whole of the Southland coastline is an arena.

The surfing disciplines will require you to follow us online – or jump in a plane or car to follow us and witness the event first-hand!

Keep updated daily via our social media platforms and we will inform you of the location of our next discipline. Track us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat accounts to find out exactly where we are what time the competition begins.

Hang out at our Ultimate Waterman Hub where you can chat to the athletes, guest surfers and logistics team to get a feel and understanding of the unique challenges of The Ultimate Waterman.
